Effective Date: October 20, 2026

This policy explains how custom creative services are requested, completed, and delivered.

1. Available Services

Laveau Studio Works provides services such as:

  • Head-and-shoulders character portraits

  • Full-body character illustrations

  • Two-character portraits and illustrations

  • Custom character compositions

  • Story outlining and development

  • Creative brainstorming consultations

The scope and price of each service are specified in its individual product listing.

2. Project Requirements

Customers must provide sufficient information to begin their projects.

Depending on the service, this may include character descriptions, reference images, story summaries, desired poses, clothing details, or creative goals.

A project may be delayed until necessary materials are received.

3. Scope of Work

Each order includes only the deliverables described in the purchased listing or written agreement.

Major changes, additional characters, complex accessories, or additional backgrounds may require a separate quote.

No additional charges will be imposed without customer approval.

4. Revisions

The number and type of revisions included in a purchase will be specified in the applicable product listing or written agreement.

Additional revisions outside the agreed scope may incur a fee disclosed in advance.

Customers should report concerns promptly after delivery.

5. Turnaround Times

Turnaround times depend on project complexity, workload, and receipt of the necessary materials.

An estimated delivery date will be communicated after the project is reviewed.

If substantial delays occur, we will notify the customer and discuss available options.

6. Artwork Ownership and Usage Rights

Customers retain ownership of their original characters, stories, and materials.

Laveau Studio Works retains rights to its preexisting creative materials.

Rights to commissioned artwork are established separately for each commission through a written agreement.

That agreement should specify:

  • Whether personal or commercial use is permitted

  • Whether the license is exclusive or nonexclusive

  • Whether copyright ownership is transferred

  • Whether the artwork may be modified or redistributed

  • Whether Laveau Studio Works may display the finished work in its portfolio

No copyright transfer is implied merely by payment.

7. Story Development Services

Story outlining and development services provide creative guidance and deliverables according to the purchased package.

These services do not guarantee publication, representation, sales, or a particular creative result.

8. Consultations

Creative Sounding Board consultations provide collaborative discussion and feedback.

Customers are responsible for attending scheduled appointments and supplying any relevant information.

Cancellations and rescheduling require at least 24 hours' notice, as detailed in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

9. Confidentiality and Portfolio Use

We will treat unpublished manuscripts and private project information with reasonable care.

We will not knowingly publish confidential customer materials without authorization.

Portfolio use of commissioned work will follow the applicable written project agreement.
